3. Sean Vetter - A Man Apart

In this disaster of a film Vin Diesel plays Sean, a criminal who found the light and turned DEA agent. While hunting down a crime lord generically known as Diablo, his wife is murdered in the crossfire setting Sean down a path of fueled revenge. The script and direction host a premise fitting to both action and drama which sounds interesting but winds up being the downfall of the film, constantly at odds without a natural flow. Vin consistently looks lost and unable to deliver a convincing performance as the movie falls back on formulaic and tamed action to stumble through its running time. The premise of the film seemingly plays to Vins strengths as an actor and past well received performances but the execution is off from all directions. It's Vin Diesel in familiar territory but given nothing exciting to do
