4. Xander Cage - XXX
Vin Diesel has proven to be a pretty successful and bankable action star in aforementioned franchises such as the Fast and Furious and Riddick films, so XXX seemed like a pretty good idea at the time. Factoring in that the popularity of the aging James Bond was waning with disappointing entries like Die Another Day, it only strengthened the itch for studios to pull the trigger on a new, more modern and kick-ass spy. Unfortunately it ended up as one of the weakest installments in both Vin's action film portfolio and career as a whole. Vin plays Xander Cage, a rebellious extreme sports enthusiast turned spy going up against a drug cartel. Its loud and dumb but fails to entertain with the bombastic set pieces found in Vins superior action franchises. It is a financial success though and even spurned a sequel with a third film on the way and we all know Fast and Furious took five films to strike the balance between dumb, cheese, and fun so maybe theres hope for Xander Cage yet.
