Vince Vaughn: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

1. Trent - Swingers

swingers

The film that exploded and put Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau on the map (along with director Doug Liman), Swingers is an instantly quotable ride along with two best friends who go to Vegas in an attempt to forget their troubles. Again, not deviating from form, the role of Trent is the quintessential Vince Vaughn character: high energy, fast talking, with confidence through the roof, and you could feasibly argue that it is this role that set the model for Vaughn's entire career. For better or worse, this is the type of character that Vince has been riffing on ever since and defined him as an actor.

This role lead to parts in movies from Steven Spielberg (The Lost World: Jurassic Park) and Gus Van Sant (the Psycho remake,) which wasn't necessarily a great thing for Vaughn's immediate career direction, but it established the early days of Brand Vaughn that pretty much accounted for the four other choices on this highlights list.

And now for the not so great moments in Vaughn's career...
