Vince Vaughn: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

4. Ronnie Valentine - The Dilemma

Any film with Kevin James in it should be cause for concern, given his tendency to be restricted to the fat guy who falls over a lot roles these days. And the fact that even he manages to out-act the main star in the trailer alone should ring every nearby alarm as to what movie you are about to watch.

The Dilemma is a low point for both Vince Vaughn and Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, who clearly must have made this with half an eye elsewhere. With a trite script in hand, Vince essentially sleepwalks through this entire movie, barely putting any effort into his lines, and lacking the kind of disarming charm that would usually make such an awful performance just about watchable.

Sadly, he isn't helped by the awful quality of the jokes on show, and the result is the most obvious paycheck movie of his entire career. Mercifully, audiences recognised the film for what it was, and stayed away for the most part, as the film opened to half of what Vince Vaughn€™s movies typically pull in.

Hopefully this will show Vince that he needs to pick his future projects more carefully.
