The Brazilian actor and musician
Wagner Moura has been
announced as the villain in
Neill Blomkamps much awaited follow-up feature to District 9,
Elysium which has also been afforded a release date, March 8th, 2013. Moura, who garnered acclaim for his portrayal of Brazilian special forces captain Roberto Nascimento in the controversial action film Elite Squad as well as its sequel, will be playing his first ever role in the English language. Moura will join the illustrious names of Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster as well as the ever busy Matt Damon (who will play an ex-con) in the science fiction thriller which will be set on another planet in some undetermined point far into the future that's at least 100 years from now.
