Wanna see a crazy assed SCREAM 4 rumor?

FACT: Kevin Williamson, the writer of SCREAM is currently drafting a SCREAM 4. FACT: The script will be based on a younger cast (or a cast, the same age as Cox, Arquette & Campbell were 15 years ago) but it has to be completed before it can be greenlit by The Weinsteins. FACT: Roles will be written for the survivors of the original trilogy but they will only be cameo's and can easily be written out if the actors don't fancy a return. FACT: Wes Craven will read the script and if he likes it, will direct. He has said so himself many times over the course of the last two months. So what is this crazy assed rumor? Well this screengrab that has fallen into the hands of Rope of Silicon via Ghostface which is supposdley from the desk of Kevin Williamson who announces that not only have The Weinsteins greenlit a new SCREAM movie but that they have greenlit a brand new trilogy... screaming I hate posting rumors (though lately, I seem to have done a lot of it) but I couldn't help but not write about this, as far fetched as it sounds. I mean The Weinsteins wouldn't commit to three new HALLOWEEN movies until Rob Zombie's remake performed, why would it be any different here? But...well... I love all three SCREAM movies, yes even the third one. I think it will pretty cool to see how Williamson's mind set has changed after 15 years since the original and how the genre has affected him as both a person and a writer now. Just as fascinating as it was when Wes Craven made SCREAM and to see how he had changed since A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.
