The lovely Ana de Armas plays Iz, the girlfriend of David Packouz (Miles Teller), who has strong opinions about American foreign policy, and so David lies to her about his gun-running business with Efraim (Jonah Hill).
In actual fact, Iz does not exist in real life and was concocted solely to add a little "conscience" to the film, but it's unfortunately rather heavy-handed as Iz doesn't serve any exterior function beyond showing up every so often to act as the moral arbiter.
It's not Armas fault in the slightest, simply that the character is a transparent affectation and not one who adds much of substance to the film.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
