4. The Story Is Undeniably Fascinating

Again, no matter the scripting issues, there is still a core story here that's extremely easy to get wrapped up in, most of all because it's rooted in reality.

Seeing two young men scheme their way into the hundred-million dollar weapons trade is inherently compelling, and frankly even a hack filmmaking team could have probably made it intermittently entertaining.

As these two men continually succeed and travel further up the food chain, so far removed from the typical conception of gun-runners, escalation is truly what makes the film so easy to watch and so perversely hilarious.

It's unquestionably one of those stories that, were it not true, you'd call bulls*** on it almost immediately.
