13. Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

After entirely leaving out Jack Sparrow in the first teaser footage for the fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, Disney used their expensive Big Game slot to push the mythology of Captain Salazar (played with inevitable menace by Javier Bardem) and his army of dead pirates.

The effects look great, even if the decaying, ghostly pirates do feel very familiar after the first POTC movie, and there's more than enough charm in the franchise to push this to lots of money. And we did finally get a cheeky look at Sparrow - as well as the returning Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. Something says he's facing darkness in his new life as the captain of the Flying Dutchman.
