There are literally hundreds and hundreds of horror movies about cursed objects, but here's a first - one about a haunted karaoke machine.

Bad Karaoke is a riotous horror-comedy in which a wedding band discovers an old karaoke machine and, after trying it out, realise that the machine will brutally kill anyone who doesn't please it with their singing.

What the hell, sure.

Though the trailer makes it clear that Bad Karaoke is a thoroughly low-budget affair, reviews from its recent Frightfest premiere have largely praised its shameless silliness, solid performances, and firm commitment to old-school practical gore effects.

Tough though it would surely be to get feature-length mileage out of such a ridiculous concept, Bad Karaoke seemingly had the good sense to clock in at a brief 83 minutes, likely ensuring it doesn't wear out the fun novelty of its outlandish setup.
