20 Upcoming Horror Movies You Won't Believe Are Real

Nobody expected a follow-up to 2009's gloriously outrageous horror film Orphan, but in 2022 prequel Orphan: First Kill materialised, which improbably saw Isabelle Fuhrman reprise her role as Esther - a murderous adult woman with a hormone disorder which causes her to resemble a child.

This trick was obviously much easier to pull off in the original Orphan when Fuhrman was actually a child, but given that she was in her mid-twenties when First Kill was shot, it required a bewildering mix of body doubles, makeup, and forced perspective shots.

It probably shouldn't have worked but it did, and now the filmmakers are attempting to pull off the three-peat with another prequel, simply titled Orphans.

Hilariously, the film will go even further back in time all while Fuhrman is almost 30 years of age.

Considering that First Kill was already stretching its credibility to near-snapping point with Fuhrman reprising her role four years ago, it's going to need some serious finessing to work this time around.
