Wes Craven: Every Movie Ranked Worst To Best
9. Scream 4
Craven's last entry into the Scream franchise as well as his last film before his death in 2015, Scream 4 was a final hurrah from the director that thankfully saw him return to form, and the breezy heights of the first two Scream movies.
Whilst there's definitely a habit of getting a bit too self referential at times, Scream 4 updates the Ghostface story for the modern generation by bringing him hurtling into contemporary teenage life, retaining all the quirky humour, lashings of blood, and clever character work that made the original films so fun.
It's dumb fun that brought a whole new audience to the magic of the Scream films, and rightly so.
