What Blomkamp's Halo movie might have looked like?

Halo has been stuck in an extended coma for around 9 months or so now. Many people on the web expect some movement on the movie to get going again come September time when Halo 3 for the Xbox 360 is released and the studio's realise how much god damn money can be made on adapting this thing. An interesting little commercial video has hit the web promoting the much anticipated video game. I say interesting because it's been shot in live action by that commercials director Neill Blomkamp who was controversially hired by producer Peter Jackson to helm this huge movie blockbuster as his first feature film. That decision was probably one of the big factors in why studio's shied away from the big budget movie. So this video below gives us a good idea of what Blomkamp's vision of Halo might have looked like. Can't say I'm floored by this footage. Looks too Starship Troopers-ish and it's very, very slow and dull. If I was a studio, I wouldn't have financed a movie based on this commercial nor would I probably buy the game...
