What Captain Marvel's Cast Look Like In The Comics

1. Goose

Captain Marvel Chewie
Marvel Comics

In The Comics:

For starters, the Goose of the comics isn't actually called Goose. They're actually called Chewie (in reference to Star Wars' Chewbacca) and though they too resemble your average ginger tabby, they're also secretly a Flerken.

In the comics, Carol doesn't actually find out that her pet is of alien origin until she encounters the Guardians of the Galaxy, with Rocket Raccoon the first to display the same kind of fears Talos does in the film.

It might even be possible, however, that Chewie gets introduced in a sequel. Could Goose be their mother? Time will only tell.

In The Film:

Captain Marvel Goose

Captain Marvel's Goose is a veritable scene-stealer from start to end, and though they don't get up to any egg laying, they possess all the tentacles and pocket dimensions the Flerken of the comics have too.

Goose was actually portrayed by several different cats, and a buttload of CGI. Still, one did at least manage to attend the Captain Marvel premiere, and even dressed up for the occasion.

Unlike in the comics, where Nick Fury loses his eye to a grenade, Goose is revealed to be the one responsible in the MCU. They also end up vomiting the Tesseract onto Fury's desk, although their whereabouts in the run-up to Endgame is anyone's guess.
