What If...Kevin Smith's Superman Movie Got Made

1. More Humour-Driven Dialogue

Script reviews of Superman Lives cite that it's written with Kevin Smith's usual penchant for dialogue - particularly as it pertains to the villains - but concern was raised over the film in fact being too witty and comedy-based, especially as this relates to the character of Clark Kent/Superman.

We're obviously used to Superman being a relatively straight-faced, clean-cut character, and so it seems Smith had attempted to fashion an updated, more modern take on him which might have gone over questionably with the fanbase. Still, we can't imagine Smith would go the whole hog and have Clark cracking dick and fart jokes to Jimmy Olsen, so how bad could it be? And the change might have been refreshing anyway.

As long as it doesn't get in the way of the more dramatic, serious aspects of the story, then it's fine, surely? But sadly, it never came to be, because producers are idiots.
