What Marvel's Ant-Man And The Wasp Cast Look Like In The Comics

In The Comics:

Janet van Dyne, the original Wasp, is one of the single-most influential, long-established Marvel characters of all time, having been introduced all the way back in 1963.

As the Wasp, Janet van Dyne was a founding member of the Avengers alongside husband Hank Pym (Ant-Man), and was even the one who actually coined the name "The Avengers", which the other members immediately took to.

In addition, the Wasp's classic, winged shrinking suit has endured as one of Marvel's most iconic and recognizable outfits, in spite of how many overhauls it has seen over the years.

In The Film:

Played by the great Michelle Pfeiffer, Janet van Dyne is one of the major focal points in Ant-Man and the Wasp, as much of the film's plot revolves around the heroes attempting to free Janet from her thirty-year imprisonment in the quantum realm.

Janet sports multiple looks throughout the course of the film. In addition to her classic version of her Wasp outfit (previously seen in Ant-Man's flashback sequence), we get to see exactly the toll three decades in the quantum realm took on that suit. Speaking of flashbacks, Pfeiffer also gets the CGI de-aging treatment as Michael Douglas numerous times throughout the film.

Even though her physical appearances in the film are few, Janet's influence is felt throughout Ant-Man and the Wasp. And it's rather nice to see that while trying to push the new Wasp as a formidable hero, Marvel didn't forget to give the original her due.
