What Marvel's Ant-Man And The Wasp Cast Look Like In The Comics

9. Sonny Burch

In The Comics:

Sonny Burch is a rather obscure pull from Marvel's publication history (with only five comic appearances to his name). This thickset chairman of Cross Technologies with thinning hair and glasses that were way too big for him made his debut as a villain on the pages of Iron Man #73 in late 2003.

He died by his own hand shortly thereafter in issue #77 and has not been seen since.

In The Film:

Burch's look was drastically altered for Ant-Man and the Wasp. Played by Walton Goggins, the character has slimmed down a bit, grown out his hair, and ditched his oversized specs.

In live-action, Sonny also speaks with a southern accent and wears a suit that wouldn't be uncommon for a stereotypical southern businessman to sport (as opposed to his comic book self, who typically wore a traditional all-black suit).

While he is still an antagonist, the film version of Sonny exists mostly to inconvenience the heroes, rather than pose any sort of real threat.
