"What the hell are you doing, you're an international movie star!" - JCVD trailer!

The popular trend in Hollywood if your career is struggling is to play yourself or something of a varation of yourself, in a way to reinvent how people see you on screen. That's the idea behind JCVD, the action/comedy/drama starring B-movie icon Jean-Claude Van Damme as himself, a struggling actor whose continuous obscurity in low grade STV flicks have left him feeling frustrated, depressed and broke. Somehow, he walks into a DOG DAY AFTERNOON situation to pay off his tax problems and he is suddenly back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

That actually looks pretty interesting. At Cannes, critics were really positive about the movie and Van Damme's performance in particular.

Mabrouk El Mechri directed his first high profile picture which gets a limited run in the U.S. from Nov. 7th. source - /film
