What Your Favourite Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie Says About You

The Running Man

the running manThe Movie: This film is another Schwarzenegger classic that seems like it€™s bound for a modern remake any day now. That may not be a bad thing, but as audiences are finding out people like Colin Farrell, Jason Momoa and Chris Hemsworth can€™t quite do what Arnold did. The film, which is set in 2017 (Let€™s hope this one doesn€™t get the future right) see€™s Arnold as wrongfully convicted man Ben Richards, who after successfully escaping prison is re-captured and entered into The Running Man TV show. The show which is like a cross between WCW and Total Wipeout is a game of chase, with the added twist that the Glatiator like stalkers will actually kill you. The Running Man puts Arnold against many of his toughest opponents including foes such as Buzzsaw, Dynamo and Professor Sub Zero who have all manner of crazy weaponry. Seriously this movie could inspire a great video game beat-em up these days. The best villain though is the unlikely choice of Richard Dawson as Damon Killian who by this stage of his career was better known as the host of the American version of Family Fortunes. Playing a similar all friendly game show host in the movie proved perfect to create the character who gleefully watched on as people were murdered in a pursuit of ratings. The Running ManWhat It Says About You: You€™re into extreme sports. You€™re a thrill seeker and you€™d love to pit yourself against challenges like they show in the movie. You jumped for joy when Gladiators came back to our screens a few years back, and were later kicking yourself when they cancelled it before you had a chance to send in your application. You still have the yellow spandex you were training in and you€™ve put it to good use, not just on a Saturday night, but have now been training to go on Total Wipeout. Soundbite: €œHe€™ll be back in a rerun, over and over again, cause as soon as its over I€™m hitting play again!€ Favourite Non Arnie Movies: Roadkill, Face Off
