What Your Favourite Martin Scorsese Movie Says About You

Raging Bullk5BXd1The Movie: Raging Bull is Scorsese's portrait of boxer Jake La Motta who let violence in the ring flood into his personal life and erode his humanity. What It Says About You: You may have issues communicating your feelings or with others. You may even struggle identifying exactly where/to whom those feelings are directed. You assumedly enjoy sports and become very impassioned in your focuses. However, some people may consider you hot-headed, or socially unforgiving and distanced. Favorite Movies: Cinderella Man is a shoo-in for this list. Though it takes on a different tone, The Blind Side, also about a struggling athlete, is a film you would likely appreciate as well. Though Jake La Motta doesn't seem to offer the sentimentality that these characters do, such judgment does not sufficiently evaluate him. His character is more like the other two movies' protagonists than you might originally think. As for a more far-fetched recommendation, I would also suggest Punch-Drunk Love. Soundbite: Though arguably the most memorable lines from the movie are the quoted Bible material at the end, another famous one is Jake demanding, "Come on, hit me." This line epitomizes Jake's on-the-fence state between being menacing and amiable -- being mentally in the ring and out -- around family, seeing as the line and ensuing fight are directed toward his brother.
