Your favorite Leone film is really Once Upon a Time in America? Have you ever seen his other movies? It's not that his last film was not good. Once Upon a Time in America is a masterpiece that is just way less accessible to the audience than The Godfather. For one thing its four hours long. Watching this movie takes commitment, which eliminates it from being most people's favorite right away. For another thing, if you thought Duck You Sucker or Once Upon a Time in the West was slow don't even bother with this movie. Sure Robert De Niro facing off with James Woods is great, but like other great epic films such as Lawrence of Arabia, watching the whole thing in one sitting might prove a strain. However, if you have and if it's your favorite than one thing is for sure. You truly have more love for gangster films than westerns and while a lot of other people might agree with you on the preference of genre you take it a step further. Without a doubt a hardcore lover of great cinema claiming this film as your favorite shows that you have deep character inside yourself and more often than not can be extremely perceptive of people around you. You also, and this is meant as no disrespect, might be a little bit of a film snob.
