Who Are The Directors Taking Charge Of The MCU's Phase 4 Movies?
3. Jon Watts - Spider-Man 3
The upcoming threequel in the MCU's Spider-Man series is the only Phase Four film yet to officially confirm its director. It's being widely reported though that Jon Watts, the man who was in charge of the first two entries, has sealed a deal to return once again.
Currently, Watts has no other projects lined up for the near future, meaning that his schedule is probably free for him to take control of the movie, which will pick up from the epic cliff-hanger left by last summer's Far From Home.
With Marvel Studios and Sony's deal reached in 2019 allowing the character to appear in one last solo outing (as well as one other MCU film), it's likely that this will be the final Spidey film to be part of the MCU. Given the great reception received by his work in the franchise so far, it would make complete sense for Watts to be the one who delivers a fond farewell to Tom Holland's hero.
Who better to conclude the trilogy than a man who once made a fake Spider-Man trailer just for an interview as part of his bid to secure the job for Homecoming?
