10. Captain Marvel

Though she's yet to appear in the MCU yet, Captain Marvel is coming and the smart money would be on here appearing for the first time as a tease in Infinity War in some way. And when Captain Marvel appears, the power hierarchy in the MCU will change fundamentally, because she's unquestionably the most powerful new Avenger.

She's such a big deal, in fact, that alongside Doctor Strange and probably Black Panther, Marvel will form the new leadership rung in the wake of Captain America and Iron Man's retirements (or worse). And Marvel would be smart to announce her in terms matching her importance, by giving her a key role in Thanos' defeat.

It might seem like a bit of a cheat for her to be dropped in as a new God-like power, but if the MCU version follows the comics character closely, she might well be the most likely to match his threat. Which the Mad Titan should be concerned about.
