Why Jared Leto's Joker Will Be Darker In Zack Snyder's Justice League Cut

According to Justice League director Zack Snyder, Jared Leto's Joker will have a "road-weary" look in his upcoming Snyder Cut.

Ever since Leto was announced to be returning as the Clown Prince of Crime in the upcoming additional photography for Snyder's version of Justice League, fans have been wondering exactly how the character would fit into the feature and what he's been up to since the end of David Ayer's Suicide Squad.

Well, the brain behind the Snyder Cut himself has now shed some light on the divisive version of the clown and how his appearance may be a tad different from the last time we saw him.

Speaking to Beyond the Trailer's Grace Randolph, Snyder revealed:

"It is true. I wanted to of course honor what had been created with him because I thought it was really cool, but also in this, I'm not going to tell you what happens in the little scene, but some water has gone under the proverbial bridge between when last we saw Joker and this appearance. So he's made some... he's a road-weary Joker, I guess that's a way of saying it."

It's interesting to note that Leto's Joker only appears to be involved in a "little scene", as Snyder puts it. Also, the director seems to be suggesting that this iteration of The Joker has been put through the wringer since he broke Harley Quinn out of prison at the end of Suicide Squad.

So, don't expect to see Leto's gangster Joker strutting around in a pristine suit or donning any fancy gold chains in his latest side-splitting appearance.
