Why John Hammond Faked Jurassic Park

2. The "Accidents" Were Carefully Planned Cover-Ups

Simply put, all hell breaks loose in the second half of Jurassic Park, with the dinosaurs getting free and causing a ton of death and destruction.

This is convenient for Hammond, of course, given that two of the casualties include people who stood in the way of his plan - lawyer Donald Gennaro (Martin Ferrero) and the park's lead computer programmer Dennis Nedry.

Gennaro was on the island at the behest of Hammond's investors to certify its safety, while Nedry attempted to hold Hammond up for more money while having immense control over most of the island's operations.

But the doomed tour and the "accidents" that follow were really part of Hammond's increasingly deranged plot to cover his tracks, staging a series of dinosaur escapes which would take care of the "difficult" people and allow him to realise his ultimate goal.

At this point, you've probably figured out precisely why John Hammond would dare go to all this bother to fake Jurassic Park and everything in it - the one thing that makes so many people commit so much evil...
