Why Movies Were Just Better In The 1990s

6. No Spoilers

Don't you just hate spoilers? Its happened to all of us that a movie comes out we are desperate to see, but before we get the chance to watch it that ONE FRIEND we all have posts all the plot points and major spoilers on Facebook!

Well, back in the 1990s, this was seemingly a non-issue. Although looking back it may seem like the absolute dark ages of culture without social media, Youtube, and online shopping, it was much harder to accidentally come across plot spoilers for major releases. Of course, there was always the chance that your mates would unwittingly ruin a summer blockbuster before you got to see it by accidentally divulging scenes in conversation, but it was a lot less prevalent than today.

In the Internet age, spoilers seem to spread like wildfire, sometimes even before a project is released, thanks to a loud-mouthed cast or crew member who accidentally gives something away in an ill-fated Twitter thread. But alas, in the '90s it seemed like keeping the death of a key character or cameos from big celebrities a secret was much simpler.
