Winona Ryder & Mickey Rourke are Informers

Gregor Jordan's adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' ensemble drama casts two more.

The third and probably most bizarre of Bret Easton Ellis' novels to make it to the big screen has cast two more, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke. The Gregor Jordon adaptation of The Informers follows a week in the lives of a group of morally challenged characters in 1980's Los Angeles and is being setup as a pre-strike movie at Senator Entertainment.

The characters in the ensemble piece are: A movie executive played by Billy Bob Thornton and his character's wife Kim Basinger and his mistress who is played by Winona Ryder. A sexually promiscuous girl played by Ashley Olsen. A vampire played by Brandon Routh! A security guard turned kidnapper played by Mickey Rourke. A rock star played either by Jon Foster, Austin Nichols or Lou Taylor Pucci who have all been cast, but their roles not mentioned. Well, it's an interesting cast and I've quite liked the two Ellis screen adaptations so far. The book is said to follow each character with their own chapter, so it would be interesting if this movie went the same way though it could become very tiresome. Loved American Psycho, liked The Rules of Attraction... let's see if we can get a hat trick of worthy adaptations of Ellis' work. source - the hollywood reporter
