Not exactly a one-on-one death match, but more a battle of wits Wolverines encounters with Cyclops (played by James Marsden) were never exactly easy going. And thats probably due to Wolverine overstepping the mark when it comes to Scotts woman. Instantly developing a rapport with the lovely Jean Grey, its not long before Wolverine and Cyclops lock horns. And when Wolverine discovers that shes in a relationship with Cyclops, hes left wondering what on earth she sees in him. You dont like him? Charles asks the obviously infuriated Cyclops. Its his way with people, he replies. And that sets up the rest of their interactions nicely. Of course, the friction that develops between them continues throughout the X-Men franchise. But its their interactions in the original X-Men movie that provide the biggest laughs.
