Wonder Woman: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

6. It Might Actually Have A Sense Of Humour

Speaking of fun: how delightful is Etta Candy in those trailers? If the final product features her half as much as the internet is hoping right now then Wonder Woman will be all the better for it, especially if Lucy Davis gets to steal even more scenes with her dorky English charms.

It's great to have some comic relief, but what's really refreshing from the trailers is that it doesn't appear to be relegated merely to Davis' role. Diana and Steve have a cute exchange on the beach ("You're a man." "...Don't I look like one?") and the screenplay's clearly not afraid to poke fun at her unconventional origins at the hands of Zeus.

If DC need to take anything from Marvel's approach, it's that a little levity goes a long way, and having a sense of humour in a genre largely focused on people in garish costumes having city-destroying fights is about as wise a move they could make after the painfully humourless BvS.
