9. Diana Prince Meets Barbara Minerva
Wonder Woman 1984 quickly introduces Kristen Wiig's Barbara Minerva and wastes no time in making it clear that she's a loser. She goes unnoticed by her colleagues at work, no one even considers helping when she drops her things, and the cops investigating the theft of those artefacts even forget her name. Barbara is one of those people who just doesn't stand out in any way.
Diana Prince, however, does notice her, and they quickly form an unlikely friendship. While they talk in the Amazon's apartment, there are some hints about what the warrior has been up to since the dark days of World War I.
There are photos revealing that she was a bridesmaid at Charlie's wedding (one of the soldiers she fought alongside decades earlier), while her old friend Etta Candy has clearly passed away by this point too as Diana is shown on a cruise with the very elderly woman. This is clearly meant to emphasises how lonely the hero is as everyone she knew and loved as died while she remains ageless.
