Barbara Minerva has had plenty of relationships over the years. Wonder Woman's best friend, Etta Candy, and Minerva made it clear they had feelings for one another upon their first encounter. But after Minerva became a supervillain, any chance of a relationship between the two dissolved.

While Zoom helped Minerva master her speed, the two had a brief fling. But Minerva's strangest relationship has to be with the one and only Superman.

Their first meeting was shown in the series, Superman: American Alien, which centres around a young Clark Kent coming to terms with his powers. After winding up on a luxurious yacht, Clark is mistaken for the playboy billionaire, Bruce Wayne. When he attempts to correct people, a young Barbara Minerva encourages him to embrace his mistaken identity so he can enjoy the party. After sleeping with each other, they stargaze on the upper deck while discussing their plans for the future.

When the yacht docks, Clark leaves and asks Minerva to come with him. She refuses, saying she needs to find her own way in the world. Ironically, mankind would've been spared the wrath of the Cheetah if Minerva decided to follow Clark on that fateful day.
