Wonder Woman 1984 - 10 Things You Need To Know About The Cheetah

3. She Has Killed Gods

Cheetah God Killer
DC Comics

The god of smithing and metallurgy, Hephaestus, forges weapons for Wonder Woman for her more perilous adventures. However, his crowning achievement is a sword called The God Killer. The blade's title doesn't have a shred of exaggeration. The God Killer LITERALLY can slay any deity with a single strike.

Although this weapon was forged to keep corrupt gods in line, all of existence was put into jeopardy when the God Killer was stolen by Lex Luthor who then gifted it to the Cheetah. Not only that, Luthor bonded the weapon with the Cheetah's DNA so only she can wield it.

When Cheetah ventured to Wonder Woman's house, no one was home save for the goddess of love, Aphrodite. Wanting to test her blade, the Cheetah stabbed Aphrodite with the God Killer, ending her life. Because the living embodiment of love died, everyone in the world lost the ability to feel affection, decimating human society.

Fortunately, the goddess of desire, Atlantiades, was promoted to Aphrodite's station before the Cheetah's actions caused further damage. Wonder Woman managed to defeat the Cheetah but only by the skin of her teeth.
