Wonder Woman 1984: What The Post-Credits Scene Actually Means
Linda Carter Could Also Appear In 2022's The Flash
So, what does this actually mean?
To the delight of a lot of diehard DC fans, it could mean that Carter could appear more prominently in Wonder Woman 3, as the character of Asteria is sort of a big deal on the island of Themyscira. There is also a chance that this could lead into Andy Muschietti's Flash movie in 2022.
So far we know that The Flash solo movie will feature a number of different superheroes including Ben Affleck returning as Batman/Bruce Wayne as well as Michael Keaton reprising his role as the Caped Crusader for the first time since Batman Returns in 1992. Ray Fisher's Cyborg will also appear, with rumours that Grant Gustin (The Flash in the CW series) might also pop in for a cameo.
With The Flash movie looking like it's going to be set across different timezones and different Earths, there is a good chance that The Flash might bump into Lynda Carter's original Wonder Woman first seen in the TV series that ran from 1975 until 1979.
Warner Bros. are really going for the multiverse concept over the coming years, and it means that the door is open for any previous on screen interpretation of DC's heroes and villains to come into play.
