Wonder Woman Trailer Review: 7 Ups & 4 Downs

4. It Also Brings The Action

Wonder Woman Battle
Warner Bros.

Humour is all well and good, but Wonder Woman wouldn't be Wonder Woman without action and this second trailer is full to the brim. She leaps and kicks and slices her way through many a faceless soldier and the footage here does a great job of showing off Wonder Woman's skills as a warrior.

Not only do we get this swords and shields action slant, but due to the setting we're also treated to a number of set pieces featuring planes, guns and just general outright warfare. This being a comic book movie and not Saving Private Ryan, these action sequences are nicely stylised as they whizz and bang triumphantly on the screen.

The blend of both World War and swords and sandals is sure to be a refreshing change of pace to the punch 'em up superhero material we've seen a thousand times.
