4. Is The Film A Flashback?

Wonder Woman Louvre

Knowing as we do the setting of Wonder Woman during World War I, it's odd to see the trailer open with Diana entering the Louvre during the modern day. No doubt tracking down the photograph of herself we've already seen in Batman V Superman, this all suggests the film is some elaborate flashback.

The use of cheap tactics like flashbacks and dream sequences has not served the DC movie universe very well so far and it is a bit of a worry that the whole film could be falling back on one of these in an attempt not to confuse audiences.

No one likes to be talked down to so why not just trust people to understand that the events of this film occur earlier than the films we've already seen?

No doubt it's all an attempt to link it the Justice League film, maybe she's telling Batman the story, either way it seems to be continuing the forced shared universe that DC has been rolling out.
