Wonder Woman Trailer Review: 7 Ups & 4 Downs

1. Gal Gadot

Despite Wonder Woman's screen time in Batman V Superman being little more than cameo, Gal Gadot's portrayal of the character was met with a lot of praise. Even with the critical lashing that the film received as a whole, most agreed that Gadot suited the character well and she managed to make a positive first impression.

Gadot looks to be continuing her solid groundwork here, looking equally comfortable in a ball gown or armoured up, her exotic looks differentiating her from the 'norms' and giving her an enchanting 'other worldly' quality.

Gadot can clearly swing a sword with the best of them and though some of her line readings are a bit ropey she manages to imbue Wonder Woman with the strength, grace and compassion that makes the character such a staple.
