1. Anything Else
Oh dear. When I wrote down a list of movies that I thought could be considered for the worst Allen film, this was the last one I did write down; the irony of the title said everything. What makes this Allens worst is just that its truly forgettable, providing no reason for you to stick around for the ride. It stars Jason Biggs and Christina Ricci and focuses on Biggs character Jerry falling in love with Riccis character Amanda, having an affair and telling his girlfriend about it as he cannot end relationships. Everything it attempts is stale and wooden, while Biggs attempts his best Allen impression, but it is up to Allen himself to go to extreme lengths to salvage anything, to create some spark that sadly never comes. In 2009, Quentin Tarantino named this as his 2nd favourite movie of the past 20 years. Rather remarkable, but it proves that every movie is subjective; what is considered the worst may be your favourite, and you should experience the movies that Allen has to offer for yourself. The chances are there will be one that captures you.
