20 Horror Movies Ruined By TERRIBLE Reveals

1. The Killer Is A Sidney Fangirl - Scream 7

Scream 7 received the worst reviews of the series for good reason, not least because it featured the least-inspired Ghostface reveal in the entire franchise.

In the climax, we find out that the ringleader of the three killers is Sidney's (Neve Campbell) chirpy neighbour Jessica Bowden (Anna Camp).

Jessica is effectively a Sidney fangirl who, after reading Sid's memoir, decided to murder her abusive husband.

Disappointed at Sid being absent from the New York massacre in Scream VI, Jessica then moved next door to Sid and planned to turn Sid's daughter Tatum (Isabel May) into Sidney 2.0 by killing her mother in front of her, reflecting the murder of Sid's own mother Maureen.

All of this comes off as woefully clumsy and convoluted, made worse by the added wrinkle of Jessica's accomplice Marco (Ethan Embry) using AI to create videos of Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard) taunting Sid.

Such a horribly lackluster big reveal is hardly surprising, though, given the quick pivot the filmmakers had to make following Melissa Barrera's controversial firing.
