While the intricate details of X-Men: Apocalypse's plot are still firmly under wraps, the information and details that have been revealed are more than enough to make some credible speculations. While Apocalypse will no doubt be the main threat of the film, both Xavier and Magneto have now severed their ties for good, and in doing so, the next logical step for the series is to show how the two extremely powerful mutants developed their mutant groups. While there's little doubt that you'll see Xavier start to properly develop his institute for gifted mutants, you're also probably going to see Magneto expand and create his Brotherhood. Like Pyro, Blob is another stalwart member of Magneto's group, and while he has already appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, his role in that film was rather small and unimportant. Incredibly durable and strong, Blob would make an excellent choice for Singer to include in the upcoming film, and while he obviously wants to avoid adding too many new fresh faces, Blob is certainly one of the better bad mutants that the director could pick.
