X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Mutants It Should Introduce

10. Dazzler

What's her deal: Alison Blaire totally got a bum deal. Dazzler was born of the disco era and was designed as a hyper-synergistic multimedia property who would not only appear in Marvel comics as a superhero-cum-popstar but also an actual, real-life popstar who released records, and perhaps even appeared in a movie. None of those happened. Probably because disco died, and nobody was all that interested in a character with the mutant ability to convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams. Why should she appear: Despite having a pretty useless superpower (later half-inched by ultimate nineties X-Man Jubilee), Dazzler has a kind of camp appeal that has had writers returning to her time and again €“ sometimes as a joke character, sometimes because they actually dig her. She is fun, and the eighties setting of Apocalypse makes her a shoo-in.
