X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Mutants It Should Introduce
8. Spyke Or Marrow
What's their deal: Speaking of TV series, Spyke first appeared as the one original character created for X-Men Evolution, the animated show that aired in the early noughties and returned the mutant team to being actual teenagers. There were crushes, hormones, and lots of trouble concealing their powers as they attended a normal high school along with the Xavier Academy. Spyke was Storm's nephew and had the weird ability to grow bones outside of his skin, which he could then snap off and use as weapons, or else make into armour (apparently without hurting himself). Marrow was the same, but in the comics, and white, and a girl. Why should either of them appear: Well for one thing, the movie line-up is still pretty lily white for a superhero team who are supposed to be analogous to real-life oppressed minorities. Storm's appearing as her younger self, though, so maybe that's not viable. Marrow would still be a good addition, because it's a visually interesting power it'd be cool to see rendered in live action.
