X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Mutants It Should Introduce

7. Boom Boom

What's her deal: Tabitha Smith is known by many names. She's been Time Bomb, Boomer, and Meltdown, but the codename she's best known for is Boom Boom. The version she's probably best known for now is the one that appeared in Nextwave, a gonzo and semi-out-of-continuity superteam who fought killer koalas, where Tabitha was a kleptomaniac Valley Girl. A valid interpretation, but not strictly canon. In most of her appearances Boom Boom is a very nice young lady who overcame a trouble past to become an integral part of the mid-nineties X-Men team, her imaginative name coming from her ability to spontaneously generate little balls of explosive fire. Why should she appear: Well again, if you're gonna go with the Clueless-esque Valley Girl version of Boom Boom, that would totally be appropriate for the era X-Men: Apocalypse is set in. Even going for the younger, more damaged and naïve version would work, with the X-Men team skewing a little younger from the looks of things.
