9. Which Apocalypse Arc Will We See?
MarvelThere are many different series that cover the Age Of Apocalypse, as the villainous character and his plans are featured over the span of eleven series. While they all follow one another chronologically, they also take place in the previously mentioned alternate timeline, and that probably means free rein to do anything. As Days Of Future Past has already dealt with changing timelines on account of time travel, it's likely Apocalypse might refrain from exacting that same narrative device. The possibilities are endless: we know from what Bryan Singer has stated, the events of DoFP directly affect Apocalypse, so could Mystiques final heroic act be the weak point Apocalypse will choose to exploit? We could see the X-Calibre story, which follows fan-fave Nightcrawler as he quests to find Destiny; a mutant with the ability to see the future, in order to corroborate Bishops knowledge of the future. Theres also Gambit and the X-ternals, who venture deep into space, but that's not all that likely. Of course, knowing that Evan Peters has signed on to reprise his role as Quicksilver, we might be treated to a big-screen version of The Amazing X-Men story. This crew, led by Quicksilver, features Storm, Banshee, Iceman, and the previously-unseen Exodus and Dazzler, who are sent by Magneto to assist in the mass evacuation of Europe, currently suffering at the hands of Apocalypse, who is himself back in the U.S. stalking Magneto and Bishop. With the majority of players in this story strand having already featured in the cinematic X-Men, its a strong contender. This sounds like the kind of story thatd slot into a larger tale, serving as a sub-plot, and giving the quickest boy in the west a lot more screen time.
