X-Men: Apocalypse - 7 Spoilers Learned From The New Images

2. Charles Xavier's Plan For Mutantkind

As mentioned in the previous slide, Charles Xavier won't be training the X-Men when this movie begins. While the school is once again up and running and more successful than ever before in a world which has accepted mutants, that also means that there's really no need for a team to exist to fight threats from humankind (especially with someone like Mystique out there looking out for wayward mutants). "He€™s not teaching anybody how to fight at the moment," James McAvoy reveals. "He€™s teaching people how to control their abilities so that they can work at a bank. But of course this movie challenges all of that." That challenge obviously comes in the form of Apocalypse, and his presence results in an all out mutant war. Whether the destruction which will no doubt ensue turns humans against mutants again remains to be seen, but turning his students into soldiers clearly isn't part of Charles' plan when X-Men: Apocalypse kicks off. It's something he's forced to do, and that will obviously change his school's future in a major way. Not much else is revealed other than that, but it's worth noting that Professor X still has his hair at this point. In the leaked trailer, the final shot of the fully bald leader of the X-Men was met with thunderous applause, and it seems like him losing his luscious locks will end up being part of the story somehow. Well, unless he decides shaving his head is a look better suited to being the leader of this team of heroes of course!
