X-Men: Apocalypse - 8 Major New Story Details Revealed

8. Apocalypse Doesn't Have A Body

Bryan Singer and the X-Men movies in general have always taken liberties with the source material, and his take on Apocalypse will be no different. That's because this version of the character doesn't actually have a physical form; he's a being made of energy who moves from body to body, adding their powers to his own along the way. It's actually this which kicks off the events of X-Men: Apocalypse as the villain finds himself a new body which will seemingly be his new home for the duration of this movie. "What€™s wonderful is he thinks in the beginning of the film he€™s found this great body," Singer explains. "It kind of ends up being the wrong one because he gets stuck in it for a long time." The filmmaker doesn't elaborate on what power that body has (he only points out that "it€™s a familiar one that you€™ve seen a number of very famous mutants have"), but one likely possibility is that it's someone with a healing factor which is capable of giving Apocalypse a permanent home before the body is burned out because it can't house such a massive force.
