Very little is known about just what exactly Apocalypse will be capable of when he stars in next year's blockbuster, but from the trailer we can see that he is a being with incomprehensibly strong mental and psionic powers. He overpowers Charles' mind whilst he's using Cerebro but the money shot is when the two go head-to-head. Fighting alone in a darkened mansion, Apocalypse catches Charles' punch before growing to monstrous proportions and pinning him to the ground. The younger mutant squirms and flails, unable to escape the grasp of the ancient evil. Since Charles is out of his wheelchair and fighting a foe who changes size it's fair to assume that this encounter takes place within his mind, with Xavier being beaten on home soil. That's no mean feet. There's also footage of Apocalypse reaching out to the world of mutants via Cerebro, something that only the most powerful telepaths of the X-Men world have been able to do before so this is a mind not to be messed with.
