An odd shot which could have been taken from Indiana Jones, but this does seem to fit in with the theory that Apocalypse is unwittingly awoken by the "secret societies" that worship mutants that MacTaggert mentioned. From his escape at this point, Apocalypse then clearly goes on a recruitment drive, bringing in Storm early (since she's shown in the Caliban sequence earlier) as well as Angel and Psylocke.
