X-Men: Dark Phoenix - 40 WTF Moments
38. The Pen Analogy
When Jean meets Charles Xavier, he tries to give her a "with great power..." speech about a person's goodness relating to how they use their gifts. Nice moment, but you can't help but feel that it might have been more responsible to use an analogy that didn't involve suggesting that someone could jam a pen into someone's eye or use it to write nice letters.
Xavier has clearly got some issues he needs to work through.
37. 1992... Wait, How Old Are Magneto And Xavier?!
So, this time starts in 1975, where we see a young Charles Xavier with his luxurious Hugh Grant hair and weird habit of delivering every one of his lines weirdly and then we jump forward to 1992, where he's bald. Judging by the timeline established by First Class, this man - and Michael Fassbender's Magneto - is at least 60 years old.
And yet he looks at most about 40 because there has been absolutely no allowance given to making either of them look older than their actors are in real life.
