X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 5 Reasons You Should Be Excited
Since the very first X-Men film was released at the turn of the century, 20th Century Fox's biggest superhero franchise has been going through an up and down (mostly down) slope. Even though I consider X2 to be one of the finest of the comic book movie genre, ranking it among The Dark Knight and The Avengers as one of the best the medium can offer, subsequent sequels X-Men 3: The Last Stand and the much hated X-Men: The Last Stand has left a bad taste in many of the fans' mouths, including myself. Some salvation was delivered to us in the form of Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, which gave us the origin story of X-Men. The film was a breath of fresh air to many as it was the first true X-Men film that was not Wolverine heavy (but his cameo in the film was perfect and never gets old) and showed the audience what really mattered to the comics lore: peaceful coexistence with regular humans versus a battle fueled by hate and fear. However, a huge negative was the many retcons and contradictions that many fans fight about today. These turn of events have left many fans wondering if they should still care about the direction of where the films are going, believing that whatever happens, the new X-Men films will most likely be even worse than before. However, with the recent news about X-Men: Days of Future Past, I will give you five reasons why you should be excited or at least give it a chance...
