X-Men: Days Of Future Past - Definitive Character Guide

Evan Peters as Quicksilver

7 Quicksilver Quicksilver is one of the twin children of Magneto. He has the mutant ability to move and think at superhuman speeds, which is both a gift and a curse. From his perspective, everyone else moves at a frustratingly super-slow speed. He was initially introduced as a member Magneto€™s Brotherhood, but soon became a hero and member of the Avengers. The inclusion of Quicksilver in Days of Future Past has been quite controversial. Joss Whedon, the director of The Avengers film, recently announced that Quicksilver will appear in the sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Shortly after that announcement, Bryan Singer announced that Quicksilver will appear in Days of Future Past. Singer has a particular action sequence in the film that requires Quicksilver€™s powers. He is currently filming his scenes at 3,600 frames per second, 150 times faster than the standard 24 frames per second rate for film. Both film studios have the rights to use the character, but the X-Men version cannot mention his involvement with the Avengers, and the Avengers version cannot mention his parentage to Magneto. Interestingly, the star of the Kick-Ass film series Aaron Taylor-Johnson is rumoured for the role of Quicksilver in Age of Ultron. Evan Peters played a minor role as Taylor-Johnson€™s school friend in Kick-Ass. What do you think? Who do you most want to see in Days of Future Past?
